About The Role

As a Web Developer at Soul Ai, you will build and maintain front-end components using HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript. You will turn design concepts and product requirements into usable web pages, support integration with backend APIs, and help ensure that each experience performs consistently on a range of screen sizes and browsers. Working closely with UI/UX designers and engineers, you will contribute throughout the development process, from clarifying requirements and implementing interfaces to testing, refining, and resolving issues. This position requires a strong foundation in web technologies, attention to detail, and a practical approach to balancing visual quality, accessibility, and performance.

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least two years of professional web development experience and demonstrated proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript, including ES6+ features. You should understand semantic markup, responsive design principles, and established web standards, and be familiar with testing and addressing cross-browser compatibility issues. The ability to work with APIs and understand how front-end pages communicate with backend services is important. We are looking for someone who can interpret design specifications, write organized and maintainable code, and identify potential usability or implementation concerns early. Strong communication skills, an open and collaborative mindset, and a willingness to receive feedback are essential. Experience improving website performance, accessibility, or the consistency of existing interfaces is also valuable.

Responsibilities

Develop, update, and maintain front-end components using HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. Build responsive layouts that provide a consistent, intuitive experience on mobile devices, tablets, and desktop screens. Translate UI/UX designs and functional requirements into accurate, accessible web pages while considering usability and performance. Integrate front-end pages with backend APIs, coordinate with engineers on data and functionality requirements, and help troubleshoot integration issues. Test implementations across browsers and devices, identify defects, and make improvements in line with web standards. Collaborate with designers and engineering teammates to review requirements, discuss implementation options, and keep work aligned with project priorities. Participate in code reviews and team discussions, document relevant implementation details, and support ongoing maintenance and refinement of website features.
