About the Role

Mutually Human is seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to create user-focused, visually engaging, and intuitive digital experiences. In this role, you will work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to shape product and design strategies that balance user needs with business goals.

You will be responsible for designing interfaces, mapping user journeys, developing wireframes, and maintaining consistent design systems across projects. The role requires someone who can adapt to established brand guidelines as well as create new design approaches for projects starting from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Design user interfaces that meet visual, branding, usability, and accessibility standards.

• Map complete user flows for product features, including successful paths, error states, and edge cases.

• Create low- to mid-fidelity wireframes to communicate user journeys and interactions.

• Research current UI trends and industry best practices to maintain modern UX/UI standards.

• Adapt designs to different project requirements, working with existing style guides or developing new design systems.

• Develop and maintain digital style guides to ensure consistency across applications.

• Create responsive designs for multiple screen sizes and platforms.

• Collaborate with developers by providing design specifications and assets and supporting smooth design handoffs.

• Refine and improve designs based on user feedback, stakeholder input, and team critique sessions.

• Work across multiple projects while adapting to different design requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Strong visual design skills, including an understanding of aesthetics, layout, typography, and brand consistency.

• Experience outlining complete user flows, including error handling and edge cases.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and work with both established design systems and new UI design requirements.

• Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, with Figma as the primary tool.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a user-first approach to UX challenges.

• Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility principles, and interaction design best practices.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain design concepts to designers, developers, and clients.

• Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improving design skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with front-end development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Ability to independently conduct user research and usability testing.

• Experience designing enterprise or B2B software products.

• Experience working in Agile or cross-functional product teams.

• A portfolio demonstrating strong UX thinking and polished UI execution.

• Experience mentoring or leading other designers.
