*This Role is on-site in Greater Memphis, TN*
Our client is a fast-growing Memphis-area law firm serving families through some of life’s hardest transitions. They are hiring a Marketing Manager to run the entire marketing function and expand the firm’s presence across the local community. This is a hands-on, in-person role: you’ll spend as much time with referral partners, at events, and around the office as you do on campaign work. You’ll report into a founder-led leadership team that is closely involved in growth strategy and welcomes a partner who can challenge ideas with data and then commit fully once a plan is chosen.
Responsibilities
• Build and manage the marketing plan, editorial calendar, and budget across online and offline channels
• Track and report on performance: lead quality, conversion rates, cost per acquisition, channel returns, and referral trends, and recommend what to do next
• Cultivate referral relationships with professionals, associations, and community organizations throughout the region
• Initiate outreach through coffees, lunches, presentations, seminars, and local events
• Plan and run firm events from logistics through the attendee experience
• Drive local press, awards, announcements, and thought leadership
• Oversee the website, content, email, social, paid ads, reviews, and nurture campaigns, working directly or through outside vendors
• Manage agencies and freelancers on deliverables, timelines, and spend
• Work closely with intake, sales, operations, and the attorneys so marketing stays tied to the rest of the business
• Use AI tools thoughtfully to work faster while keeping your own judgment and creativity front and center
Ideal Background
• Proven marketing experience, ideally in professional services, with the ability to take responsibility for results rather than just tasks
• Comfortable meeting new people and building a network from scratch
• Fluent in analytics and reporting, and able to explain what the numbers mean
• Hands-on familiarity with design tools, presentation software, email platforms, social and ad platforms, and web vendors
• Receptive to feedback, confident in presenting your point of view, and flexible when the direction changes
• Organized, detail-minded, and quick to spot projects that are slipping
• Experience coaching or managing others, or the desire to grow into it
