About The Role

JLOOP is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, test, and maintain high-quality software. In this role, you will work closely with product, design, engineering, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and turn them into dependable technical solutions. You will contribute to implementation decisions, write clear and maintainable code, and help ensure that applications perform effectively as user and business needs evolve. The position is suited to someone who combines sound engineering judgment with curiosity, accountability, and a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable communicating about technical work, collaborating through feedback, and balancing delivery needs with quality and long-term maintainability.

Qualifications

Applicants should have professional or equivalent practical experience in software development and a solid understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and common software design principles. You should be able to understand existing code, investigate issues, and communicate your reasoning when proposing a solution. Responsibilities

Create and maintain tests, troubleshoot defects, and help identify the underlying causes of technical issues. Contribute to documentation that supports development, operations, and future maintenance. Monitor the performance and reliability of delivered solutions, recommend improvements, and help address technical debt where appropriate. Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies in a timely manner, while remaining open to changing priorities. Follow established security, privacy, accessibility, and quality practices, and take responsibility for delivering work that meets agreed expectations.
