About the Opportunity:

The POWER BI DEVELOPER role is focused on designing and maintaining a stable Power BI Service environment that supports comprehensive reporting needs. This position is responsible for developing dashboards, creating custom visualizations, and ensuring data accuracy across multiple datasets. The developer will collaborate with technical teams and business users to enhance reporting functionality and deliver training, thereby enabling the organization to leverage data effectively for strategic purposes.

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain a stable and effective Power BI Service environment

• Develop dashboards for various business users

• Create complex custom Power BI visualizations based on specifications

• Perform data validation to ensure data quality across datasets

• Collaborate with developers to improve reporting functionality and establish best practices

• Gather business requirements and identify new features, including documentation and leading technical meetings

• Develop technical manuals

• Lead Power BI technical training, mentoring, and co-development with business area employees

• Ensure all reports comply with agency and performance requirements

• Configure security, accessibility, and access management controls for the reporting environment

• Develop data refresh strategies using Azure SQL Server and other data sources

• Deliver daily Project Status Reports tracking progress to milestones

• Perform knowledge transfer activities

Requirements:

• Minimum of five years of advanced Power BI development experience

• Experience with student loan data validation, including forbearance data

• Strong technical documentation skills

• Excellent communication skills, including engagement with senior leaders

• Versatile presentation skills suitable for both formal and informal settings

Pay Range and Compensation Package:
