Staff Writer — United States

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Writer to join the team of a leader in the Media space.

This role will focus on reporting and storytelling at the intersection of technology, consumer culture, e-commerce, and retail. The writer will produce sharp, engaging coverage that examines the companies, platforms, products, and delivery systems shaping how people shop and consume. The ideal candidate will bring speed, judgment, and a distinct voice to both timely news and deeper reported features.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $120,000 – $180,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Cover the intersection of technology and consumer culture

• Produce engaging stories across a wide-ranging beat including e-commerce and retail

• Interrogate companies and platforms shaping online shopping

• Analyze trendy products and status symbols

• Investigate the logistics behind product delivery

• Respond quickly to breaking news while also conducting in-depth analysis

• Write clearly and stylishly under tight deadlines

Qualifications

• Substantial experience as a reporter for general-interest publications

• Deep interest in consumerism and the ability to translate ideas into compelling stories

• High standards for quality, accuracy, and journalistic ethics

• Strong ability to identify and critically assess trends

• Capacity to work quickly and adapt to changing story demands
