About The Role

Ova Technologies is seeking a Mobile App Developer to design, build, test, and maintain high-quality applications for Android, iOS, and cross-platform environments. In this role, you will help shape intuitive mobile experiences and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from planning and implementation through release and ongoing support. You will work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and DevOps colleagues to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing applications. The ideal candidate combines solid mobile development knowledge with a user-focused approach, clear communication, and an interest in learning new technologies.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered. Candidates should have approximately two to five years of mobile application development experience and strong proficiency in at least one relevant technology: Kotlin or Java for Android, Swift for iOS, or Flutter or React Native for cross-platform development. Experience with Dart is valuable for Flutter projects.

You should be comfortable integrating RESTful APIs and JSON-based services, using Git for version control, and applying mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVC, or Clean Architecture. A working knowledge of mobile security principles and local data storage solutions such as SQLite, Room, or Core Data is expected. Familiarity with Firebase, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and state management tools such as Provider, Riverpod, Bloc, Redux, or MobX is an advantage. Experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, cloud platforms, accessibility practices, or mobile performance profiling is also beneficial. Published applications and integrations involving payments, maps, notifications, biometrics, cameras, or generative Mg are welcome.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications for Android, iOS, or cross-platform platforms. Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code that follows established engineering practices. Partner with designers to implement responsive, accessible, and intuitive interfaces, and collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs, third-party SDKs, and cloud services.

Investigate and resolve defects across devices and operating system versions. Improve application performance, security, scalability, and battery efficiency, and contribute to code reviews, automated testing, deployment, and CI/CD workflows. Support app releases and ongoing maintenance on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Work with product, QA, and DevOps teams to clarify requirements, assess technical trade-offs, and deliver dependable features. Keep current with mobile frameworks, development tools, platform guidelines, and relevant industry practices.
