UI/UX Designer — United States

Procyon TS is seeking a creative, experienced UI/UX Designer to help shape intuitive and engaging digital products. In this role, you will bring user needs, business objectives, and technical considerations together to create thoughtful experiences for web and mobile applications. You will work with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the design process, from discovery and research through implementation and refinement.

About The Role

As a UI/UX Designer, you will guide and contribute to design activities across the product lifecycle. You will investigate user needs, translate findings into design recommendations, and develop interfaces that are both functional and visually cohesive. You will create design deliverables ranging from early sketches and wireframes to interactive prototypes and production-ready screens. You will also help maintain shared design standards, communicate your decisions, and partner with developers to support accurate implementation. This role is suited to a designer who balances creativity with attention to detail and welcomes feedback as part of an iterative process.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered. You should have proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or in a comparable role, supported by a portfolio that demonstrates your process and design outcomes. Experience designing for both web and mobile applications is required. Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or comparable design tools is expected, along with familiarity with prototyping tools such as InVision or Marvel.

You should understand user-centered design principles and be comfortable applying research and usability insights to design decisions. Strong problem-solving, organization, communication, and teamwork skills are important, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is helpful but not required. Experience with interaction or animation design, accessibility standards, and Agile development practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, usability testing, and other appropriate methods. Analyze findings and develop personas, journey maps, and related artifacts that clarify user needs and inform product decisions. Design and iterate on interfaces for web and mobile experiences, producing wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.

Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries that support consistency across products. Partner with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business goals, and establish design priorities. Present concepts and explain design rationale, incorporating feedback thoughtfully. Collaborate with developers throughout implementation, clarify specifications, review completed work, and help resolve design questions. Test proposed experiences, collect feedback, and refine designs based on findings. Stay informed about relevant tools, design practices, accessibility guidance, and industry developments.
