Technical Illustrator — Corpus Christi, TX

gTVJK Gwp3BVCBF vjd., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Technical Illustrator to provide graphic design and administrative support to the Readiness Engineering Division Publication Development and Design team. This position is based in Corpus Christi, TX.

Job Responsibilities/Duties

• Works with and compiles 3D CAD models and 2D illustrations for Army Aviation technical publications.

• Ad hoc multimedia graphic design projects.

• Assist Senior Library Administrator with technical library management.

• Assist Technical Writers with QC reviews of Army Aviation technical publications.

• Implement XML coding and tagging authoring process for Army Aviation technical publications.

• Attend meetings, give briefings to Senior Government Leaders, and assist with management of the technical data team.

• Coordinate with Publications, Development and Design Lead on specialized training for technical publications team.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

• High School Diploma with seven (7) years of relevant work experience, Associate's with five (5) years of relevant work experience, or Bachelor's Degree with three (3) years of relevant work experience.

• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio, and Outlook.

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and SolidWorks.

• Experience using XML authoring software.

• Experience with SharePoint cloud administration.

• Ability to proofread grammar and punctuation with a high level of accuracy.

• Outstanding organization and customer service skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Must be a U.S. citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance.

• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, Arbortext.

• Proficiency in translating engineering schematics into standardized technical manual artwork in compliance with military standards and regulations.
