We're looking for a Communications Specialist in Culver City, CA to oversee day-to-day public relations campaigns, coordinate press release schedules, and help ensure that media visibility goals are met efficiently and impactfully.

This role is suited to someone who can see the overarching campaign goals while keeping track of editorial details. You'll work across creative functions, monitor press placement performance, resolve communication bottlenecks, and identify practical ways to elevate brand storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily communications schedules and coordinate editorial priorities across departments

• Establish and maintain messaging guidelines that support consistent brand representation

• Monitor press coverage trends, review media recaps, and track key public relations metrics

• Identify narrative gaps and recommend improvements to existing media outreach strategy

• Coordinate press assets, media kits, and distribution timelines to support brand activations

• Work with department leads to address PR inquiries and maintain clear external messaging

• Maintain accurate media contact databases, editorial calendars, and pitch logs

• Review campaign performance against deadlines, coverage targets, and agreed objectives

• Support the planning and execution of strategic media rollouts and press briefings

• Communicate storytelling updates and style guide standards to creative team members

• Help ensure editorial governance and compliance requirements are strictly met

• Prepare communications recaps and campaign recommendations for leadership review

What We're Looking For

• Strong writing, editorial, and narrative-building skills

• Clear written and verbal communication tailored for media contacts and internal partners

• The ability to coordinate multiple press campaigns and manage competing publication deadlines

• Confidence analyzing coverage reports, tracking audience reach, and identifying media trends

• Good judgment when managing public image priorities and resolving messaging challenges

• The ability to collaborate across creative teams and support brand alignment

• Proficiency with standard office software, media distribution software, and content platforms

• A practical, proactive approach to media outreach and media kit development
