About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow CMDB, CSDM & Service Mapping Engineer to maintain CMDB data integrity, improve configuration management practices, and implement application service mapping. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, Data Manager, IRE, CSDM, and top-down Service Mapping, along with strong troubleshooting and integration skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain CMDB health, data integrity, completeness, correctness, and compliance.

• Manage configuration item (CI) lifecycle policies, including retirement, archival, and remediation of stale or duplicate CIs.

• Implement and maintain CSDM application services and technical service offerings.

• Configure and troubleshoot ServiceNow Discovery, Cloud Discovery, and related integrations.

• Implement and maintain Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules and cross-source data governance.

• Perform top-down Service Mapping for applications and business services, including infrastructure-to-service and service-to-service mapping.

• Develop CMDB health dashboards, data quality controls, audit evidence, and remediation workflows.

• Monitor CMDB and integration health, investigate issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Develop and support ServiceNow integrations using JavaScript, Unix Shell scripting, and PowerShell.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and ITSM teams to improve CMDB accuracy and configuration management processes.

• Support ITIL-based Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes.

• Maintain technical documentation, policies, procedures, runbooks, and implementation guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10 years of overall IT experience, including 3–5 years of ServiceNow experience.

• Strong hands-on expertise in CMDB data modeling, ServiceNow Data Manager, IRE, and CSDM.

• Proven experience implementing top-down Service Mapping and application service mapping.

• Experience with CMDB Health, CI lifecycle management, data governance, and duplicate/stale CI remediation.

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Cloud Discovery, and platform integrations.

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Unix Shell scripting, and PowerShell.

• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, server administration, and ITIL processes.

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required.

• ServiceNow Implementation Specialist and ITOM/ITAM certifications are preferred.

• Familiarity with Flow Designer, Service Portal, Cloud Provisioning, and Agile methodologies is a plus

Compensation

Estimated Hourly Rate: $75–$80/hr (W-2)

Final compensation within this range will depend on skills, experience, and interview results.
