About The Role

We are seeking a data-centric professional to join our Game Operations Business Intelligence team. This team’s mission is to empower Game Operations with specialized analyses, tools, and expertise that enhance outcomes. The ideal candidate will transform complex datasets into actionable insights, build and maintain insightful dashboards, and collaborate closely with Game Operations and Product teams to identify and address data, performance, and process gaps. This role demands strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and a passion for sports and gaming, driving data-driven decision-making that supports the optimization of game mechanics and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in statistics, finance, mathematics, or business analysis.

• Advanced technical expertise in SQL, data visualization tools (such as Tableau), and Excel formulas.

• Proven experience in analyst, gaming, consulting, finance, or data science roles.

• Extensive knowledge or experience in sports, gaming, DFS, pricing, trading, or finance.

• Strong organizational skills, reliability, curiosity, professionalism, and effective communication abilities.

• Demonstrated capability in data-driven critical thinking, problem-solving, and providing actionable recommendations.

• Preferred qualifications include experience playing or optimizing competitive sports, DFS, or other games.

• Personal projects related to sports, gaming, trading, pricing, DFS, prediction markets, or finance are a plus.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and distill complex datasets into clear recommendations supported by concise talking points and visualizations.

• Scope, manage, and complete ad-hoc data requests related to game mechanics, product performance, or user behavior.

• Develop, document, and maintain user-friendly dashboards and reusable analyses to support ongoing business needs.

• Collaborate with Game Operations and Product teams to identify and address gaps in data, performance, and operational processes.

• Enhance and refine datasets to improve usability and enable nuanced analysis and reporting.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on data related to pricing, users, game operations, and mechanics.
