Frontend Engineer II — Denver, CO

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications. This role involves contributing throughout the software development lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has strong frontend development experience, enjoys working across product and engineering teams, and can provide technical guidance, mentor junior developers, and contribute to improving development practices and technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Lead frontend design, implementation, and testing for development projects.

• Troubleshoot application issues and improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver new features and enhance existing applications.

• Provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders and help resolve software-related questions.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

• Improve development practices, tools, and the overall technology stack.

• Collaborate on integrations with backend services and support application scalability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including building and maintaining scalable web applications.

• Experience developing web applications with React and Next.js.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Advanced proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows.

• Familiarity with software development tools and the ability to learn new languages and frameworks.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

• Experience integrating AI or machine learning capabilities into applications.

• Experience with mobile application development.

• Experience leading a development team or supporting Agile delivery practices.
