Frontend Engineer, Ads - 100% Remote — United States

About the Role

Reddit is seeking a mid-level Frontend Engineer to join its Ads Manager team within the Advertiser Platform organization. The team is responsible for building and maintaining ••••••••, Reddit's core advertiser-facing product, with a focus on helping advertisers create and manage campaigns at scale.

In this role, you will develop intuitive, accessible frontend interfaces that simplify complex advertising workflows. You will take ownership of medium-sized frontend projects, from clarifying requirements and proposing technical solutions to implementation, testing, and release. You will work independently while collaborating with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other team members to deliver reliable, high-performing applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Build intuitive and accessible interfaces that help advertisers create and manage advertising campaigns.

• Work with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate advertiser needs into clearly defined projects.

• Own the technical design, implementation, testing, and release of medium-sized frontend projects.

• Communicate project progress, dependencies, and potential risks early to help team members plan effectively.

• Review code and document technical decisions to support the maintenance and continued development of frontend applications.

• Improve frontend performance and reliability, resolve bugs, and contribute reusable components and development patterns.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of software engineering experience, including 2 or more years of frontend engineering experience.

• Experience building and maintaining production web applications.

• Ability to break down projects, assess technical tradeoffs, and independently deliver solutions.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

• Experience writing maintainable code, testing completed work, and participating in code reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing advertising products, creative tools, or design systems.

• Experience working directly with product managers and designers.

Salary & Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $164,200–$229,900 USD. This position is also eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units and, depending on the position offered, may be eligible for commission.
