The Frontend Engineer role owns the client-facing surface of the product — building fast, accessible interfaces that thousands of users interact with daily. The team ships production React and TypeScript code across a modern SPA architecture, with real ownership over component libraries, state management patterns, and rendering performance.
The role sits at the intersection of design and infrastructure: translating Figma specs into pixel-accurate, tested UI while collaborating with backend engineers on API contracts and GraphQL/REST integration. Every feature shipped by this team is visible to users within a sprint.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain user-facing features in React and TypeScript, delivering production-ready components on a two-week release cycle
• Design and evolve a shared component library with Storybook, enforcing accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) across the product surface
• Optimize frontend performance: bundle analysis, code splitting, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals tuning for applications serving high daily traffic
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, owning data-fetching layers and client-side caching strategy (React Query, Apollo, or similar)
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests with Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright; maintain CI pipelines that gate merges on coverage
• Collaborate directly with product designers to review specs, flag technical constraints early, and prototype interaction details
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and incident triage when frontend issues reach production
What We Are Looking For
• 3–6 years of professional frontend engineering experience building and maintaining production web applications
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with strong opinions on component architecture and state management (Redux, Zustand, or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with CSS-in-JS or utility frameworks (Tailwind, styled-components) and building responsive, accessible layouts
• Proven track record diagnosing and fixing performance bottlenecks — rendering, bundling, network — using DevTools and profiling tools
• Experience with automated testing at multiple levels and integrating frontend builds into CI/CD pipelines
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Bonus: experience with Next.js or server-side rendering, design system ownership, WebGL/data visualization, or contributing to open-source frontend tooling
