Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support the development, enhancement and maintenance of enterprise ServiceNow solutions within a US government environment.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on development experience, a solid understanding of the ServiceNow platform and exposure to multiple ServiceNow modules. This is an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of secure, scalable solutions supporting critical government operations.

We are looking for someone who can work across different areas of the platform, develop custom functionality and collaborate with technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and customise ServiceNow applications and platform functionality.

• Build and maintain workflows, business rules, client scripts, script includes and UI policies.

• Configure and enhance ServiceNow modules to meet business and technical requirements.

• Develop integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.

• Work with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub and other platform automation tools.

• Support CMDB development, data management and platform optimisation.

• Troubleshoot technical issues and improve existing ServiceNow solutions.

• Participate in testing, debugging, upgrades and deployment activities.

• Collaborate with architects, administrators, consultants and business stakeholders.

• Ensure development follows ServiceNow best practices and government security requirements.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture and development capabilities.

• Experience with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.

• Practical experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes and Flow Designer.

• Experience working across multiple ServiceNow modules, ideally including:

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work within a collaborative technical team.

• Active US Secret security clearance – mandatory.

• Must be willing and able to work 100% onsite in Alexandria, Virginia.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience supporting US federal government or Department of Defense programmes.

• Experience working within secure government or classified environments.

• Knowledge of CSDM, Discovery and Service Mapping.

• Experience with ServiceNow application development and custom application builds.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD practices.

• Experience integrating ServiceNow with AWS, Azure or other enterprise systems.

ServiceNow Certifications

The following certifications are advantageous:

• Certified System Administrator (CSA).

• Certified Application Developer (CAD).

• Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) across relevant modules.
