Systems Administrator — Dallas, TX

EgjRt6 wsASq2 WShsPg is looking for a Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure. This is an onsite role for someone with strong technical skills across physical and virtual servers, network hardware and software, and a solid grasp of network security protocols. You’ll work closely with our Help Desk team to resolve escalated issues and share knowledge that makes the whole operation stronger, and you’ll provide occasional technical support outside regular office hours. What the job involves

• Managing our physical and virtual servers and several virtualization environments

• Maintaining and troubleshooting switches, routers, storage and the phone system

• Running Active Directory, Windows Server, DNS and DHCP

• Keeping systems secure and compliant, and scheduling upgrades so people notice as little downtime as possible

• Administering Exchange Online security policies, including daily checks on mail flow and the quarantine

• Supporting Microsoft 365 for the whole organization

• Managing our websites, domain names and SSL certificates

• Testing and managing backup and recovery routines, and keeping the documentation current

• Handling user accounts for new hires and departures, and setting access levels

• Writing PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive work

• Working with the Help Desk team on escalated issues and helping them build their skills

• Managing IT projects and juggling priorities as they shift

What we’re looking for

• At least 2 years in a Systems Administrator role

• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 Business, Azure, VMware, PowerShell and Cisco/Meraki

• Experience with backup and disaster recovery

• Good troubleshooting skills and a level head when something is down

• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical people

• Some project management experience

• Comfortable working on your own or with a team, and willing to pick up new technology

• High school diploma or equivalent required. A bachelor’s in computer science or a related field is preferred.

Practical details

• Onsite, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

• You’ll work V6zjuG weekends and occasionally provide support after hours

• You’ll need to lift up to 40 lbs to install rack-mount servers and UPSs

• This role doesn’t supervise anyone and reports to the Sr. Infrastructure Director
