Java Developer — Charlotte, NC

Must Have

• 7+ years of hands-on Core Java / Java J2EE development experience

• Strong Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot

• Strong RESTful Web Services and SOAP Web Services

• Strong SQL, preferably Oracle SQL/PLSQL

• Strong Object-Oriented Design and Java programming

• Experience building high-volume, scalable, highly available, distributed enterprise applications

• Experience with Apache Kafka for data publishing and consuming

• Experience with JUnit, performance testing, optimization, and code analysis

• Experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL

• Experience with Cassandra or NoSQL distributed databases

• Strong knowledge of design patterns, including Creational, Behavioral, and JEE patterns

• Experience with Maven, Git/Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with Agile and SDLC, including Test-Driven Development

• Experience handling cross-functional/distributed development teams

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver software releases in a changing environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-enabled development tools for coding, code analysis, productivity, and software engineering workflows

• Experience with Eclipse/IntelliJ

• Experience with Splunk

• Experience with SOAP UI

• Experience creating prototypes/POCs

• Experience creating UML diagrams for current-state and future-state architecture

• Experience providing technical direction, system architecture, estimation, and technical guidance

• Experience coordinating with external/offshore development teams

• Experience with JEE application servers
