About The Role

Reliable Software is seeking a Software Engineer to help design, build, test, and maintain software applications. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders, and other colleagues to deliver solutions that are useful, secure, maintainable, and aligned with project goals. You will contribute throughout the development process, from understanding requirements and evaluating technical approaches to implementation, testing, release, and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a constructive approach to feedback are expected.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software features based on product requirements and technical specifications. Work with colleagues to clarify requirements, identify dependencies, estimate effort, and plan implementation. Write readable, reusable code that follows established standards and supports long-term maintainability. Create and maintain unit, integration, and other relevant tests to help ensure dependable performance.

Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team planning. Investigate defects and performance issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate fixes. Contribute to documentation that helps teammates understand systems, processes, and technical decisions. Follow applicable security and privacy practices, and consider accessibility, reliability, and user experience when developing solutions. Monitor completed work where appropriate, respond to feedback, and recommend improvements to tools, workflows, and applications.
