About The Company

The company is building a consumer-friendly trading experience that brings on-chain assets within reach without requiring users to manage external wallets, navigate bridges, or have prior crypto expertise. Its product combines trading infrastructure with social discovery, enabling users to follow traders, explore portfolios and trades, discover emerging tokens, and access professional-grade execution and market data through an approachable interface.

The engineering team includes three frontend engineers and five backend engineers, with experience at crypto companies such as dYdX, Uniswap, and OpenSea. The team is investing in reliable, performant infrastructure as usage grows and trading activity varies across markets and regions. It values high standards, collaborative problem-solving, and engineers who take ownership.

About The Role

As Staff Frontend Web Engineer, you will own the company’s two primary application surfaces: its mobile app, built with Expo, and its web app, built with React Router and Vite. You will shape the architecture and user experience of products used to discover and trade digital assets, while helping the engineering team prepare for its next stage of growth.

This is a staff-level, primarily frontend position with room to contribute across the stack when appropriate. The team is preparing to introduce additional order types and deepen its social features, creating opportunities to influence product direction and deliver meaningful improvements. This is an in-person role based in New York City, with the team working from its Soho office.

Qualifications

You bring at least six years of software engineering experience, including staff-level scope or the ability to operate at that level. You have deep expertise in React and can independently identify technical opportunities, develop a clear plan, and carry it through to delivery. You are comfortable taking ownership of important product surfaces and working through ambiguity in an early-stage environment.

Experience building crypto products is a plus, particularly with Solana or EVM ecosystems. Full-stack experience is helpful, especially familiarity with TypeScript services. The team makes extensive use of agentic coding tools, so comfort working effectively with AI-assisted development is valued. Personal crypto trading experience is also beneficial because it can provide useful perspective on the product and its users.

Responsibilities

Lead development and ongoing improvement of the mobile and web applications, with a focus on usability, reliability, performance, and maintainable architecture. Establish frontend plans that support new trading capabilities, including additional order types, and help expand social discovery features.

Partner closely with product and engineering teammates to translate user needs into thoughtful, high-quality experiences. Make sound technical decisions, raise quality standards, and contribute to implementation across the stack when that is the best way to solve a problem. Use AI development tools responsibly, review generated work carefully, and help ensure that shipped software meets the team’s expectations.
