Web Developer & Technical SEO Specialist — Durham, NC

About the Role

Riddle & Riddle Injury Lawyers is seeking a Web Developer & Technical SEO Specialist to manage and improve its existing WordPress website in-house. This role combines website development, technical SEO, troubleshooting, and lead-tracking support.

The specialist will maintain the website, support SEO initiatives, resolve technical issues, and help ensure that website leads and tracking data are correctly transferred into Salesforce/Litify. The ideal candidate is comfortable working within an established website, understands how changes can affect SEO, tracking, lead flow, and revenue, and takes a careful, organized approach to development and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage website updates using WordPress and Elementor.

• Build and edit website pages, templates, forms, redirects, and content.

• Support technical SEO activities, including metadata, schema, internal linking, crawlability, redirects, page speed, and indexing.

• Maintain Gravity Forms, including hidden tracking fields, notifications, confirmations, and webhook-related lead flow.

• Help ensure form, phone, chat, UTM, GCLID, and source data are correctly transferred into Salesforce/Litify.

• Troubleshoot website, plugin, tracking, and CRM data issues.

• Manage plugin and theme updates using staging environments and quality assurance processes.

• Work with marketing leadership on landing pages, SEO improvements, conversion tracking, and website performance.

• Document website processes, templates, integrations, and changes.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of WordPress development experience.

• Strong experience with Elementor.

• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP.

• Experience with technical SEO and lead-generation websites.

• Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, GA4, Google Search Console, and SEO tools.

• Experience with forms, tracking fields, webhooks, APIs, or CRM data flow.

• Working knowledge of Salesforce, Litify, or another CRM.

• Strong troubleshooting and quality assurance skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WP Engine, Cloudflare, WP Rocket, Gravity Forms, ACF Pro, Polylang, Schema Pro, or Yoast SEO.

• Experience with Salesforce-based CRM systems.

• Experience with local SEO, legal marketing, healthcare, home services, or multi-location websites.

• Familiarity with call tracking, chat tracking, UTM/GCLID tracking, and attribution setup.

• Experience with multilingual WordPress websites.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate can work effectively within an existing website without seeking to rebuild it from scratch. They understand the impact website changes can have on SEO, tracking, lead flow, CRM data, and revenue. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to explain technical issues clearly are important for this role.
