hdAYmtcFXc7 is bringing its protection to mobile. We're building privacy and security apps for iOS and Android that protect people on the device they use most and connect them with the hdAYmtcFXc7 products and services they rely on across phone and computer.

The apps run on one shared platform that powers several consumer brands. Features are built once and shared, while each app's navigation and experience are built natively, so it feels at home on iOS and on Android. It's an early-stage team, so you'll help shape both the apps and the platform.

The Role

We build consumer privacy and security apps for Android and iOS. Most of the code is shared Kotlin Multiplatform, with native code where each platform needs it. You'll take features from idea to Google Play: plan, build, test, ship and support them in production.

You'll join a small, hands-on team where engineers own features across both platforms. You'll work directly with our head of mobile, who sets the architecture, still writes code and mentors the team. You'll have a real say in technical decisions, grow your skills across Android, iOS and Kotlin Multiplatform, and take on more ownership as the platform grows.

What you'll do

• Build Android privacy and security features that go deep into the platform, such as on-device scanning and network filtering.

• Build subscriptions and accounts with Google Play Billing.

• Build shared Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform code that ships on both Android and iOS, and review both iOS and Android code.

• Own your features in production: Play Console releases, policy reviews, crash and log triage, performance and battery tuning with the Android Studio profilers, fixes.

• Work with AI coding agents every day: plan the work, keep each step small and tested, review what the agent writes.

• Write a short plan before you build and keep it current as the work changes.

What you bring (required)

• A CS degree or equivalent practical experience, and 1+ year of full-time professional experience building Android apps in Kotlin.

• At least one app you helped ship to Google Play, from work or your own project, that you can walk us through end to end.

• Solid Kotlin, coroutines and Jetpack Compose fundamentals: you can write, test and debug a feature on your own, with unit and UI tests as part of how you ship.

• AI-native development: you build with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot agent mode or similar) every day, and can show how you plan, direct, review and test what they write. You can explain every line you ship, and you keep plans and docs current, so teammates and agents work from the same context.

• Willingness to learn Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform, and to work in Xcode and Swift when shared code runs on iOS.

• Based in the Los Angeles area and able to work from our office 3 days a week.

• Personal apps, open source or hackathon projects you can show us.

• Android system features such as VpnService, background work, or sensitive permissions.

• Any Kotlin Multiplatform or Compose Multiplatform experience.

• Profiling memory, battery and startup time with the Android Studio profilers.
