About the Role

Pretzel Logic Productions is seeking a Junior Video Editor to join its in-house production team in San Diego, California. This role is suited to a creative professional with 1–3 years of video editing experience who understands storytelling, pacing, and visual presentation.

The editor will work on commercial and branded video projects from initial concepts through final delivery, collaborating with producers, directors, creative leaders, and other editors. The position involves creating content for broadcast, digital, social, and internal brand use while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit commercial and branded video content from concept through final delivery.

• Create compelling stories with effective pacing, rhythm, and emotional impact.

• Collaborate with producers, directors, creative leadership, and fellow editors.

• Edit content for broadcast, digital, social media, and internal brand platforms.

• Produce modern, dynamic, and visually engaging edits.

• Incorporate music, sound design, graphics, and visual effects to enhance finished content.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

• Apply feedback efficiently while maintaining the creative direction of each project.

• Organize media assets, editing timelines, and project files.

• Maintain the studio's standards for storytelling, quality, and execution.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in commercial or branded content.

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.

• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for graphic preparation and visual enhancements.

• Understanding of pacing, timing, color, and visual storytelling.

• Ability to edit engaging commercials that capture and maintain audience attention.

• Experience editing content for multiple formats and platforms.

• Understanding of music selection and sound design.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Positive attitude and a team-oriented approach.

• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate.

• Ability to take direction, contribute creative ideas, and work efficiently without compromising quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe After Effects, particularly motion graphics, titles, and animated elements.

• Experience with DaVinci Resolve.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

• Location: San Diego, California.

• Work Arrangement: Fully in-house; remote work is not available.

• Employment Type: Full-time.

• Hourly Compensation: $18.00–$21.64.
