Social Media Video Creator (UGC/Journalist) — New York City Metropolitan Area

We're looking for a video content killer to join our team of other creator first marketers to continue scaling the PsXSxakAt owned media accounts to tens of millions of followers. Right now we total 4M+ followers and push 75M+ impressions/month. We're now scaling the team to grow it to 40M+ followers and 750M+ impressions/month.

However we aren't looking just for people who can get views. Views for most are cheap. Instead we're looking for a video first creator/journalist who enjoys creating and understands taste + storytelling = virality.

The role

You’ll own one or more of our social accounts. Your job is to find stories people care about and turn it into short videos that people watch to the end and share.

This is closer to a reporter’s job than a typical UGC role. You’ll find the angle, check the facts, write the script, shoot it, and edit it.

What you’ll do

• Research and report stories from filings, market news, and our own data

• Write, shoot, and edit short-form video for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X

• Run an account end to end: content calendar, posting, comments, performance

• Respond to news the same day it breaks

• Test formats and hooks, and double down on what works

What we’re looking for

• A journalism, reporting, or news background, or a body of work that shows you think like a reporter

• A UGC creator background showing you are comfortable behind camera

• On-camera ability and comfort being the face of an account

• Your own editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)

• Accuracy you’d defend in the comments. Our audience fact-checks everything.

• Interest in markets and investing. You don’t need to be a finance expert, but you need to be curious.

• A portfolio of videos you’ve made. Please send it. It matters more than your resume.

• A track record of videos that went viral
