About The Role

Reliable Software is looking for a Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications. In this role, you will work with colleagues across engineering, product, and other relevant teams to understand requirements and turn them into practical solutions. You will participate throughout the development lifecycle, from discussing technical approaches and implementing features to reviewing code, resolving defects, and supporting releases. The ideal candidate is curious, dependable, and comfortable balancing independent problem-solving with collaborative teamwork. Qualifications

Candidates should have professional experience in software development or equivalent practical experience gained through projects, education, or other relevant work. Candidates should understand how to work with version control and be willing to contribute to code reviews and automated testing. Responsibilities

Design, implement, test, and maintain software features in line with product requirements and technical standards. Collaborate with team members to clarify user needs, assess implementation options, and estimate work. Participate in peer code reviews, share constructive feedback, and apply feedback to improve the quality of deliverables. Create and maintain unit, integration, or other appropriate tests to help ensure dependable behavior. Identify, investigate, and resolve defects and performance issues, escalating risks when needed. Contribute to technical planning and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify systems, improve workflows, or strengthen reliability. Support deployment and post-release activities in coordination with the relevant teams. Communicate progress, dependencies, and challenges promptly, and follow agreed development practices while remaining open to better approaches.
