AI Engineer — United States

We're hiring on behalf of an employer seeking an AI Engineer to develop advanced language models and document intelligence capabilities within a high-trust federal environment.

The Role

• Build scalable retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and document-processing pipelines using Databricks ingestion, OCR, and embedding techniques

• Develop LLM workflows for summarization, structured data extraction, and evidence-grounded text generation

• Establish evaluation frameworks to assess retrieval quality, grounding, hallucination rates, and structured output accuracy

• Deploy and maintain open-weight models in secure, isolated environments while packaging production workflows and tracking performance

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions adhering to federal security and compliance standards

What You'll Need

• Minimum of 8 years of experience building applied ML/AI or data systems, including production RAG and LLM solutions

• Active T5/SSBI federally adjudicated security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

• Extensive hands-on experience with the Databricks platform and Python programming

• Proven experience with local/self-hosted LLM serving environments and privacy-preserving data techniques

What's On Offer

• Hourly pay rate of $80.00 – $84.00 per hour

• Initial one-year contract with an option to extend

• Fully remote work arrangement within the United States
