About The Role

JLOOP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior WordPress Developer to join its remote development team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, updating, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites while ensuring that each website meets design standards and client requirements.

You will work across approximately 80 websites associated with JLOOP and Athena Advisors, using popular WordPress tools and page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, and Gutenberg. The position involves making front-end adjustments, troubleshooting website issues, managing plugins and themes, and supporting ongoing website improvements.

You will collaborate closely with Producers, Project Managers, designers, and other developers to understand project requirements, implement requested changes, and verify that completed work meets expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career developer looking to strengthen their WordPress development skills while working on multiple real-world projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain WordPress websites based on project requirements and client specifications.

• Build and customize website pages using Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, and other WordPress tools.

• Implement front-end modifications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP where required.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress plugins, themes, layouts, and custom code.

• Optimize website performance, responsiveness, usability, and overall functionality.

• Ensure websites display correctly across different browsers, screen sizes, and devices.

• Perform regular website updates, content changes, layout adjustments, and maintenance activities.

• Identify technical issues and work toward practical solutions while maintaining website quality.

• Collaborate with Producers, Project Managers, designers, and developers to understand tasks and clarify technical requirements.

• Review completed work, test website functionality, and verify that requested changes have been implemented accurately.

• Support more complex development tasks by researching solutions and learning new tools and technologies.

• Manage multiple website updates and development requests while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.

• Basic to intermediate experience in WordPress website development and maintenance.

• Familiarity with Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, and WordPress content management systems.

• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP.

• Knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, widgets, and website customization.

• Understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.

• Basic knowledge of website performance optimization, SEO fundamentals, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve common technical issues.

• Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.

• A willingness to learn new technologies and improve technical skills continuously.

Previous experience working with multiple WordPress websites or supporting creative agency projects will be an added advantage.
