About the Role

Pretzel Logic Productions is seeking a Jr. Video Editor with 1–3 years of professional editing experience to join its in-house production team in San Diego, California. This role is suited to an editor who enjoys storytelling, understands pacing and emotion, and is interested in creating engaging commercial and branded content.

You will work closely with producers, directors, creative leadership, and other editors to take projects from concept through final delivery. This is a fully in-house position; remote work is not available.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit commercial and branded video content from concept through final delivery.

• Develop compelling stories through strong pacing, rhythm, and emotional impact.

• Collaborate with producers, directors, creative leadership, and fellow editors.

• Create edits for broadcast, digital, social, and internal brand use.

• Produce modern, dynamic, and visually engaging video content.

• Incorporate music, sound design, graphics, and visual effects to enhance final productions.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

• Apply feedback efficiently while maintaining the creative direction of each project.

• Keep assets, timelines, and project files organized.

• Maintain the studio's standards for quality, storytelling, and execution.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in commercial or branded content.

• Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro.

• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for graphic preparation and visual enhancements.

• Strong understanding of pacing, timing, color, and visual storytelling.

• Ability to edit engaging, attention-grabbing commercials that hold audience interest.

• Experience editing content for multiple formats and platforms.

• A good sense of music selection and sound design.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

• Ability to take direction, contribute creative ideas, and work efficiently without sacrificing quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• After Effects experience is a strong plus, particularly for motion graphics, titles, and animated elements.

• DaVinci Resolve experience is helpful but not required.

• A positive, team-first attitude and a strong sense of professional responsibility.

• A willingness to keep learning, stay curious, and follow emerging creative trends.
