• Time zone: Flexible, but our content runs on the U.S. news cycle. You need to be online when stories break in the U.S. and able to turn them around quickly.

About The Company

We are a rapidly growing U.S.-based AI-native video studio making comedic, news-driven content for social. Much of our work is political satire and parody about current events, aimed at every side of the spectrum, and a lot of it lives on X.

The studio was founded this year by a content industry veteran who spent years building content inside other companies before going out on their own. Demand has grown faster than one person can produce, and we're now building the team.

Most of our footage is AI-generated with tools like Higgsfield and Midjourney, then cut, sound-designed, and finished in Final Cut Pro or CapCut. We've built an internal system that turns a creative conversation into ready-to-use prompts, so the team spends its time on the idea, the joke, and the edit.

About The Role

The founder is currently the bottleneck. Demand is there, but every video still runs through one person. In news-driven content, a story that takes three days to turn around is a story we've already missed.

This is not a pure execution role. Often we know we want to run with an idea but don't have a finished script. You'll take a loose premise, build out the beats, the joke, and the structure, and cut a finished piece while the story is still the conversation. You'll also bring your own concepts to the table instead of waiting for a brief.

We'll teach the AI tools. What we can't teach is comedic instinct, story sense, and a real feel for U.S. politics and internet culture. That's what this hire is about.

Key Responsibilities

News, Trends & Concepts

• Follow U.S. politics, breaking news, and the conversation on X every day, and spot the stories worth reacting to

• Track which formats and trends are working on X right now and bring them into our content

• Pitch your own concepts and angles regularly, without waiting for a brief

Writing & Comedy

• Take a loose premise and build it out yourself: the beats, the joke, and the structure

• Write or tighten scripts, dialogue, and on-screen text for comedic short-form video

• Create political satire and parody about current events, across the political spectrum

AI-First Production & Editing

• Generate scenes, characters, and shots with AI tools (Higgsfield, Midjourney, and similar), using the studio's prompt system

• Cut, sound-design, and finish pieces in Final Cut Pro or CapCut, with comedic timing that lands

• Turn timely pieces around fast enough to ride the news cycle

Distribution & Studio Workflow

• Deliver platform-ready versions for X first, plus Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts

• Review how content performs and apply what you learn to hooks, timing, and format

• Keep project files organized and document repeatable workflows as the studio grows

Required Qualifications

• A reel or portfolio of short-form video you edited, showing comedic timing and clear storytelling

• Deep, current knowledge of U.S. politics and internet culture

• An active, daily X user who knows what's trending, what the discourse is, and which formats are working

• Fully comfortable editing political satire and parody that targets every side of the spectrum

• Writing instincts: you can turn a loose premise into beats, a joke, and a structure on your own

• Proficiency in Final Cut Pro or CapCut (strong Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve editors willing to switch will be considered)

• Ability to turn a story into a finished piece quickly, often the same day

• Strong written and spoken English

• Reliable internet and a computer capable of video editing and rendering

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AI video and image tools such as Higgsfield, Midjourney, Kling, Runway, or Veo (we'll teach the tools)

• A portfolio that includes AI-generated comedy, meme, or parody content

• Content that went viral on X, Instagram, or TikTok

• Experience running your own social channels as a creator

• A background in comedy writing, sketch, or improv

• Prior work with U.S. creators, media brands, or a content studio
