DfKrUeH is a jewelry brand based on 47th Street in New York's Diamond District. We design and manufacture custom and ready-to-ship jewelry, from one-of-one custom pieces to full product lines.

The Role

We're hiring an in-house CAD Designer / Model Maker to take pieces from concept to production-ready files. You'll work directly with our Production Manager, the owner, and our bench team (setters, polishers and caster) on a fast-moving mix of custom orders, high-profile pieces and new collections.

Responsibilities

• Design custom pendants, chains, bracelets and product-line pieces in Rhino / MatrixGold

• Build production-ready files prepped for casting: shrinkage, supports/sprues, wall thickness and weight

• Create stone layouts and setting specs (stone counts, sizes, pavé/micro-pavé maps) for the setters

• Turn sketches, photos, logos and verbal briefs into accurate 3D models

• Produce realistic renders for customer approvals and sales

• Work with the bench to solve casting and setting issues and revise designs as needed

• Manage multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines

Qualifications

• 3+ years of jewelry CAD experience

• Expert in Rhino / MatrixGold

• ZBrush a strong plus (3D figural and organic pieces)

• Solid understanding of casting, stone setting and jewelry manufacturing

• Strong attention to detail and design sense

• Portfolio of jewelry CAD work required. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered

Pay & Schedule

• $60,000–$100,000/year, based on experience and portfolio

• Full-time, Monday–Friday
