About The Role

ApTask is seeking an experienced iOS/Swift Developer to design, build, test, and maintain mobile applications for Apple platforms. In this role, you will contribute to intuitive, dependable, and high-performing experiences for users while supporting the technical and business needs of a financial services environment. You will work closely with product managers, designers, backend developers, and quality assurance professionals to deliver new features and maintain existing applications. The ideal candidate combines strong Swift development skills with sound engineering judgment, a collaborative approach, and an interest in producing secure, maintainable software. The anticipated rate range for this opportunity is $680–$696 per day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• At least six years of professional experience developing iOS applications.

• Strong proficiency in Swift and familiarity with Objective-C.

• Experience using Xcode, Git, and Swift Package Manager.

• Working knowledge of UIKit and/or SwiftUI, Apple development frameworks, and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.

• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend systems, working with JSON, and implementing asynchronous programming.

• Understanding of iOS architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVC, or VIPER.

• Experience writing unit, UI, and integration tests.

• Knowledge of application lifecycle management, memory management, performance optimization, and mobile security.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications using Swift and appropriate Apple frameworks.

• Create responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces that support reliable mobile experiences.

• Translate product requirements and technical specifications into clear, maintainable implementations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to plan, deliver, and refine application features.

• Integrate APIs, third-party services, and backend components while considering reliability and security.

• Develop and maintain automated tests, participate in code reviews, and follow engineering best practices.

• Identify, investigate, and resolve defects, performance concerns, and application stability issues.

• Optimize applications for responsiveness, security, stability, and efficient battery use.

• Support releases, deployment activities, and ongoing application maintenance, ensuring alignment with App Store requirements.

• Keep informed about iOS development tools, platform updates, and relevant industry practices.
