About The Role

Credence is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, configure, and maintain platform solutions supporting business and IT operations. In this role, you will work with stakeholders, system administrators, and cross-functional technical teams to deliver scalable applications, workflows, and integrations. You will contribute to platform modernization, process automation, and ongoing enhancements, helping ensure that solutions meet operational needs and project objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong ServiceNow development experience, a practical understanding of IT service management (ITSM), and the ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile environment. This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Candidates must have at least five years of software development experience, including development on the ServiceNow platform. Required experience includes designing custom scoped applications and using ServiceNow Application Engine, Flow Designer, and workflow automation. Experience configuring and extending Case Management and related modules is also required. A ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required; Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is preferred.

Qualified candidates will have strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, AngularJS, and other web technologies used with ServiceNow, plus experience with a programming language such as Java, Python, or C++. Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations is important. Candidates should understand Agile Scrum, the software development lifecycle, software design principles, and architectural patterns. Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, customize, test, and deploy ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, forms, and user interfaces in response to business and operational requirements. Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical needs, and work with administrators and technical teams to implement enhancements, resolve issues, and support platform configuration changes. Develop reusable, scalable solutions that follow ServiceNow design patterns and development standards. Identify process inefficiencies, system deficiencies, and technical challenges, then recommend effective improvements.

Maintain consistency across development, testing, staging, sandbox, and production environments. Support repeatable development, deployment, and release management processes, using version control and CI/CD practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Build integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise platforms, provide production troubleshooting and end-user assistance, and maintain technical documentation and configuration artifacts. Participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate with Scrum Masters and project teams, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance or mentorship as needed. Apply UI/UX best practices to improve usability, stay current with ServiceNow capabilities and industry practices, and take on additional duties or projects as assigned.

Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $141,000–$185,000. Final compensation depends on the selected candidate’s experience, education, certifications, skills, and overall qualifications. Credence offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage; retirement plans, including a 401(k) and IRA options; basic and voluntary life insurance, including AD&D; paid vacation, sick leave, and public holidays; maternity and paternity leave; short- and long-term disability coverage; training and development opportunities; and wellness resources.
