Backend Engineer (Rails) at BairesDev

As a Backend Engineer (Rails), you will build and scale high-performance monolithic and modular applications. You will serve as a key technical contributor in designing robust backend systems, ensuring seamless data management and efficient API integration to support business growth.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails.

• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity using PostgreSQL/MySQL and ActiveRecord.

• Implement background processing and asynchronous task management using Sidekiq or Resque.

• Ensure code quality and system reliability through comprehensive testing with RSpec.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architectural standards and deployment strategies.

• Manage and monitor production environments and application deployments on AWS.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on Ruby on Rails.

• Proven expertise in building and scaling modular and monolithic Rails applications.

• Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL, ActiveRecord, and database optimization.

• Extensive experience with asynchronous processing using Sidekiq or Resque.

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

• Advanced proficiency in English.
