AI Engineer — IDR, Inc., Mountain View, CA

IDR is seeking a AI Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Mountain View, CA or New York, NY. In this role, you will help design and build AI/LLM-powered solutions that automate and improve key business workflows. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders to translate real-world process needs into scalable agent-driven applications in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

Position Overview for the AI Engineer:

• Design and develop AI/LLM-based applications leveraging agent frameworks and workflow orchestration

• Build and enhance Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions to improve accuracy and usefulness of responses

• Partner with business stakeholders to analyze workflows and identify opportunities for AI-driven efficiencies

• Translate business requirements into technical designs, documentation, and deliverable implementations

• Contribute to solution quality through testing, iteration, and continuous improvement of prompts, tools, and agent behaviors

Requirements for the AI Engineer:

• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in AI/LLM-based application development

• Experience designing, developing, or implementing AI agents and workflow automation solutions

• Strong business process analysis skills, including the ability to evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities for AI-driven efficiencies

• Working knowledge of accounting processes, specifically month-end and year-end financial close procedures

• Ability to translate accounting business requirements into technical solutions, collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable, effective solutions
