About The Role
Take2 Consulting LLC is hiring a Database Developer to support database development, application modernization, systems integration, analytics, and operational activities. This remote position is open to candidates located in the United States who can work East Coast hours. The selected candidate must be eligible for Public Trust clearance sponsorship. You will develop and support Oracle database solutions and cloud-based data platforms, collaborating with engineering, architecture, DevOps, and business teams to deliver secure, reliable services for enterprise and mission-critical applications.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in Oracle database development, database engineering, ETL, data integration, or a related software engineering field are required. Candidates should have strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills, including experience with packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, materialized views, sequences, complex queries, and performance tuning. Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, SQL*Loader, relational database architecture, data modeling, ERDs, indexing, transaction management, and referential integrity is expected.
Qualified candidates will bring hands-on experience designing ETL and data migration solutions, supporting batch processing, and working with AWS services such as Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS, and Amazon S3. Experience with Matillion ETL or a comparable data integration platform, database testing, production releases, CI/CD, source control, and Agile practices is important. Familiarity with Git-based tools, DevSecOps, and approved AI-assisted development tools is also desired. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
Additional assets include Federal or large-scale enterprise experience; knowledge of grants, financial, case management, regulatory, or workflow systems; and exposure to Oracle Data Pump, GoldenGate, Informatica, Talend, ODI, Liquibase, or Flyway. Experience with other database platforms, data warehousing, BI tools, cloud modernization, Federal security requirements, or AI and analytics programs is beneficial. Oracle certifications are preferred.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database components, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and packages. Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL for applications, reporting, integrations, and business operations. Create migration scripts, schema updates, release packages, and automated deployment processes. Build ETL workflows, data transformations, batch processes, and validation frameworks, and support cloud-based data integration and analytics using AWS and Matillion.
Analyze data models, schemas, enterprise data flows, ERDs, and mappings. Diagnose database, data quality, integration, and performance issues using execution plans, indexing, partitioning, statistics, and monitoring tools. Develop and support unit, regression, migration, and data validation testing. Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, release deployments, incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-deployment verification. Contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps practices, maintain technical and operational documentation, and support security, privacy, governance, and applicable Federal controls. Use approved AI tools responsibly to improve development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and engineering productivity.
Benefits
Join a collaborative consulting environment focused on meaningful client outcomes, technology modernization, and continuous improvement. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex data and cloud initiatives, expand expertise across Oracle and AWS technologies, and work with multidisciplinary teams. Specific compensation, benefits, and employment details will be discussed during the hiring process.
