Senior Perception Engineer

We are looking for a senior perception engineer to build the systems through which robots understand and interact with manufacturing environments. You will own perception architecture and implementation, with an initial focus on accurate object localization for loading and assembly.

What you will do:

• Build object detection, 6D pose estimation, and scene understanding systems that support reliable manipulation at customer pilot sites.

• Develop calibration, tracking, and sensor fusion across RGB, stereo, and depth cameras, incorporating force and tactile feedback.

• Strengthen our perception stack through data collection, evaluation pipelines, and testing on physical robots. Set technical direction and carry systems from development through deployment.

What we are looking for:

• Strong fundamentals in geometric computer vision, experience training or adapting deep learning models, and proficiency in Python and C++.

• Experience deploying perception on physical robots, including diagnosing failures and improving accuracy and reliability under real operating conditions.

• The technical depth and independence to make architecture decisions, evaluate approaches, and debug across sensors, models, and robot behavior.

Relevant graduate research counts toward experience, and prior startup experience is preferred. 3+ years of experience.
