About The Company

HarmonyTech supports organizations delivering important public-sector services through technology, modernization, and thoughtful implementation. The company is seeking a Microsoft Certified Solutions Junior SharePoint Developer to contribute to a federal modernization program. This work focuses on helping improve mission-critical Enterprise SharePoint environments so they can better support users, business processes, and evolving program needs.

HarmonyTech values practical problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous learning. In this role, you will work with experienced professionals who can provide guidance as you build your technical skills and learn the standards and processes associated with federal technology projects. The position is remote and requires U.S. citizenship.

About The Role

As a Junior SharePoint Developer, you will help design, develop, configure, and modernize Enterprise SharePoint solutions under the direction of senior team members. You will contribute to development activities involving the SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Apps, and Power Automate, while supporting accessibility practices aligned with WCAG 2.0.

This position is intended for a developing professional who is ready to apply Microsoft platform knowledge in a structured project environment. You will receive guidance as you learn the program’s architecture, requirements, development practices, and quality expectations. With demonstrated growth and increasing familiarity with the environment, you will have the opportunity to progress toward independent ownership of assigned solutions within the first year.

Success in this role requires curiosity, sound communication, attention to detail, and a willingness to ask questions and incorporate feedback. You should be comfortable working remotely with teammates and stakeholders, documenting your work, and balancing user needs with technical requirements and accessibility considerations.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include U.S. citizenship and Microsoft Certified Solutions credentials relevant to the position. Candidates should have foundational experience or training with Microsoft SharePoint and a demonstrated interest in developing and modernizing enterprise collaboration solutions.

Familiarity with SPFx, JavaScript or TypeScript, and front-end development concepts is valuable. Exposure to Power Apps and Power Automate, including building or supporting forms and workflow automations, is also relevant. Candidates should understand the importance of accessible digital experiences and be willing to apply WCAG 2.0 guidance as part of development and validation activities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, along with the ability to collaborate in a remote setting, follow established processes, manage assigned tasks, and document technical work. A careful, service-oriented approach and a commitment to learning are essential. Experience supporting federal programs or working in a structured, compliance-focused environment is helpful, but candidates should be prepared to learn program-specific standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

Support the design, development, configuration, testing, and maintenance of Enterprise SharePoint solutions. Assist with modernizing existing sites and applications, translating documented requirements into usable features, and contributing to SPFx components under senior developer guidance.

Help build and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate solutions that support business processes. Participate in reviews, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and validation to confirm that changes meet functional and technical expectations. Apply accessibility considerations throughout development and help identify opportunities to improve usability and WCAG 2.0 alignment.

Collaborate with developers, project team members, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and report progress. Maintain clear documentation, follow project standards, protect sensitive information, and incorporate feedback. Gradually take responsibility for defined work areas as your skills and familiarity with the environment develop.

Benefits

This remote opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a federal modernization program while developing practical experience with Microsoft technologies used in enterprise environments. The role includes guidance from experienced colleagues, exposure to mission-critical solutions, and a clear growth path toward greater independence during the first year. Compensation and any additional benefits are discussed during the hiring process.

Equal Opportunity

HarmonyTech is committed to fair and inclusive employment practices. Employment decisions are made in accordance with applicable laws and based on role-related qualifications, experience, and organizational needs. Applicants are considered without discrimination on any status protected by applicable law.
