Marketplace Analyst — Sport Dimension Inc, Carson, CA

Pay range: $75,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience

Sport Dimension Inc. is a sporting goods, water sports and toys company in Carson, California. Our brands include Wham-O, Body Glove, Jetpilot, Stohlquist, Morey Bodyboards, BZ, Churchill Swimfins, Nautica and Paddle Pals, sold through major US retailers, e-commerce and specialty dealers.

The role

We are looking for an analyst who also keeps the daily work moving. You will own our marketplace forecast and profit reporting, and run the Vendor Central work that keeps purchase orders from being cancelled. Amazon is our largest marketplace, and this role turns its data into clear calls on what to sell, how much to buy and when to replenish.

Responsibilities

Forecasting and profit

• Own the monthly unit and revenue forecast by product for Amazon and our other marketplaces, with conservative, expected and optimistic scenarios and documented assumptions

• Own a monthly profit report by channel, after product costs, marketplace fees, fulfillment, advertising and returns

• Compare actual sales with forecast every month, explain the gaps and adjust

• Recommend initial order quantities and replenishment plans to our production planning team

• Research product opportunities in Helium 10 and our sales data (demand, competitors, pricing, customer reviews, seasonality) and recommend what to launch, test or pass on

Marketplace operations

• Run Vendor Central purchase order acknowledgement and confirmation, and follow each cancel back to its cause

• Work chargeback and co-op disputes with our finance team

• Follow up on inventory, purchase orders, launches and shipments with production and logistics, and resolve operational issues

• Keep catalog data and ASIN variations accurate

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in ecommerce forecasting, inventory planning or marketplace operations

• Hands-on Amazon Vendor Central experience, including purchase orders, plus Seller Central and Direct Import (DI); familiarity with and other marketplaces

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to build forecasts and explain the assumptions behind them

• Experience with Helium 10 or similar marketplace research tools

• Able to validate data and AI-assisted analysis and turn findings into business decisions

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus
