Oracle PL/SQL Database Developer
Optomi, in partnership with a leading paints and coatings manufacturer, is seeking a senior-level PL/SQL Developer with strong UNIX experience to support database development and system-to-system integrations. The resource will work primarily with PL/SQL development, including packages, procedures, functions, database changes, and data translations. The team operates within three-week development sprints, with tickets assigned and released at the completion of each sprint.
What the right candidate will enjoy!!!

• A highly independent position where experienced developers can make an immediate impact with minimal oversight.
• Working in a collaborative Agile environment focused on PL/SQL development, data translation, and modernization efforts.
Experience of the right candidate:
• Approximately 6–10 years of relevant experience, with the ability to work independently as an individual contributor.
• Experience with Oracle 19c or newer/current Oracle environments is preferred. The environment is expected to transition to a newer Oracle version in the future, but specific version experience is not critical as long as the candidate is current with Oracle technologies.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
• Develop and maintain Oracle database objects, including tables, views, procedures, functions, and packages.
• Create and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code for data retrieval, processing, and reporting.
• Support ETL processes for loading, transforming, and validating data.

• Troubleshoot and resolve database, ETL, and data quality issues.
• Perform query and application performance tuning.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and production support activities.
• Maintain technical documentation and adhere to development standards.
• Support ongoing enhancements and maintenance of existing database applications and processes.
