About The Role

We’re looking for a YouTube Copywriter who can optimize our videos, making them easier to find, whether people search on Google, browse YouTube, or ask an AI assistant like ChatGPT or Gemini. In this role, you’ll research keywords, structure descriptions for discoverability, and write clear calls-to-action in a consistent brand voice, using AI to work faster while keeping your own judgment and creativity at the center.

The successful candidate will have copywriting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to give and receive direct feedback. This position requires working with large content libraries, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and leveraging new technologies to enhance productivity without compromising creativity.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in YouTube description copywriting

• Demonstrated results growing organic traffic through YouTube SEO or video content optimization

• Experience optimizing content for Google Search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, and other AI-powered search platforms

• Knowledge of engagement mechanics, prompts, and effective calls to action

• Ability to translate strategy or business objectives into clear, engaging language

• Strong judgment and ability to prioritize audience resonance over personal preference

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines

• Skill in researching keywords and metadata for accurate, engaging descriptions

• Comfortable managing repetitive workflows while maintaining high quality

• Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback gracefully

• Experience with health, nutrition, wellness, or educational content preferred

• Must complete a skills test as part of the application process

• Work from home requirements: up-to-date Mac or Windows computer with antivirus, reliable high-speed internet, quiet workspace, tech-savvy, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, OneDrive)

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize YouTube video descriptions for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)

• Conduct keyword research and naturally incorporate relevant search terms into content

• Structure descriptions to improve discoverability and support AI and answer engines

• Create strategic calls-to-action with appropriate links

• Maintain a consistent brand voice across all content

• Leverage AI tools to increase productivity while applying critical thinking and creativity

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality communication and copywriting standards

• Utilize new technologies to improve efficiency without compromising human creativity
