About the Opportunity:

The SOFTWARE SECURITY ENGINEER role focuses on integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle. The position partners with engineering teams to design secure systems, identify vulnerabilities, and reduce risk in the application portfolio. This role combines hands-on offensive and defensive security skills with strong communication to help development teams build secure software efficiently while minimizing production risks.

Responsibilities:

• Embed security practices within the software development lifecycle

• Collaborate with engineering teams to design secure systems

• Identify and assess vulnerabilities across applications

• Implement security improvements to reduce production risks

• Conduct code reviews in multiple programming languages

• Utilize security tools such as SAST, DAST, SCA, and CI/CD-integrated solutions

• Support cloud security and infrastructure controls

• Communicate security concepts effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field

• Minimum five years of experience in application security or security engineering

• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, common vulnerabilities, and exploit patterns

• Proficiency in code review for at least two major programming languages

• Experience with security tooling including SAST, DAST, SCA, and CI/CD integration

• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and cryptographic fundamentals

• Experience with cloud security controls

• Strong communication skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language for automation

• Experience working in Agile development environments

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Salary range: $145,000 to $165,000 annually
