About The Role

The .NET Angular Developer performs specialized programming and technical work for website and internet development using industry-standard technologies and established procedures. The role involves designing, building, testing, documenting, and maintaining applications that meet business and technical requirements. The developer works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude to exercise initiative, independent judgment, and creativity.

This position is suited to a professional with substantial experience in Angular, .NET, Azure DevOps, and cloud migration involving AWS. The developer will contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements clarification and technical design to implementation, testing, change management, and user support. Familiarity with PowerApps, Agile methodologies, test-driven development, and Playwright integration testing will support success in the role.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, along with at least six years of experience in each of the following areas: Angular development, Azure DevOps, .NET technologies, and cloud AWS migration. Applicants should bring strong experience working within process-oriented Agile methodologies and proven experience applying test-driven development principles. Experience with Playwright for integration testing and familiarity with PowerApps are also valuable.

The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of advanced principles, techniques, and methods for developing and designing web and standalone applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the role requires presenting information, answering questions, documenting technical work, and collaborating with varied stakeholders. Candidates must be able to contribute effectively both independently and as part of a team, using Agile or traditional project management practices as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Gather and clarify requirements with business analysts, then present findings to project review boards, project sponsors, workgroups, and technical review boards. Create and maintain system, functional, and project documentation, including technical models that define data elements and support application needs. Design and develop reusable software in accordance with approved architectures, security requirements, and applicable State of Michigan standards, policies, and procedures.

Identify and mitigate application-level security risks, and remediate vulnerabilities promptly. Participate in structured walkthroughs, code reviews, stage exits, and change management activities. Follow established configuration management practices and support project documentation in accordance with applicable SUITE standards for Agile and traditional methodologies.

Perform unit, string, and integrated testing to verify compliance with business and technical requirements. Develop test plans, scripts, and cases; investigate defects; determine root causes; and prepare analysis reports. Evaluate enhancement requests for their impact on existing applications. Develop user manuals and provide training when required.
