About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and responsive web and mobile applications. This remote role focuses on building reliable, high-performance products while maintaining strong code quality and making sound engineering decisions.

You will work primarily with TypeScript across frontend and backend development, along with React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL. The role also involves improving existing functionality, resolving technical issues, automating workflows, and contributing to a collaborative engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available backend services and APIs that support demanding workloads.

• Build and enhance responsive web and mobile applications with a focus on performance, usability, and reliability.

• Make engineering decisions that balance delivery timelines with long-term maintainability and code quality.

• Investigate technical issues, resolve bugs, and use user feedback to continuously improve the product.

• Share knowledge, mentor fellow engineers, and provide constructive feedback to strengthen the engineering team.

• Develop technical expertise across TypeScript, Bash, and PostgreSQL.

• Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and proactively address technical challenges.

• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, team retrospectives, and regular feedback discussions to improve code quality and team effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.

• Significant experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GitLab Pipelines, Docker files, Linux, and Bash.

• Experience with AWS services and environments, including ECS, S3, RDS, load balancing, and EC2-based environments used for iOS builds.

• Familiarity with Vitest or other testing libraries and frameworks.

• Mobile development experience with Swift, Objective-C, or Java for native integrations and modules within React Native applications.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $150,000–$175,000.
