Senior Embedded Systems Engineer — Cincinnati, OH

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to architect, build, and deploy next-generation smart home devices powered by the Matter standard across Wi-Fi and Thread.

In this role, you will take ownership of multi-admin interoperability across major smart home ecosystems—including Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa—while engineering production-grade firmware in resource-constrained RTOS environments.

What We Are Looking For:

• 8+ years of hands-on embedded software development experience using modern C/C++.

• Deep expertise with Matter, Thread (OpenThread), BLE 5.x, and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n/ax) stacks.

• Proven mastery of FreeRTOS or Zephyr RTOS (IPC, multitasking, HAL, memory management).

• Strong grasp of embedded security: TLS/SSL, X.509 PKI, secure boot, and crypto accelerators.

• Practical experience implementing dual-bank bootloaders (e.g., MCUBoot) and fail-safe OTA mechanisms.

• Hands-on debugging skills using JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers, and Wireshark protocol sniffers (BLE & 802.15.4).

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with NXP RW610/RW612 platforms, MCUXpresso SDK, and EdgeLock security.

• Familiarity with Nordic (nRF5340/nRF52840) or Espressif (ESP32-S3/ESP32-C6) SoCs.

• Multi-radio coexistence (Wi-Fi 6, BLE, 802.15.4) and RF performance tuning.

• Prior experience driving commercial products through formal CSA Matter certification.
