Your Role

As an AI Test Engineer II, you validate and elevate the quality, reliability, and safety of AI-powered systems across the Trend Health Partners platform. In this mid-level role, you will build and maintain automated testing suites, integrate AI-assisted engineering tools into your daily workflows, and safeguard data integrity across distributed cloud systems. Working alongside senior engineers, QA peers, and product managers, you will help ensure our payment integrity products run seamlessly, securely, and at high performance.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites spanning API, UI, regression, and integration testing layers.

• Develop resilient end-to-end tests using Playwright (or modern equivalent frameworks), focusing on maintainability and minimizing test flakiness.

• Leverage AI-assisted coding and testing tools (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and related tools) to accelerate test creation, refactor code, and optimize testing workflows.

• Author and execute API tests for REST and GraphQL services, validating data contracts, schema integrity, and edge-case error handling.

• Perform security and performance checks as part of regular release cycles, testing basic OWASP hygiene, access controls, and system responsiveness under load.

• Validate data integrity across integrations and backend data pipelines using solid SQL queries and automated data validation scripts.

• Collaborate cross-functionally within an Agile development team, taking an active role in sprint ceremonies, release validations, and root-cause analysis for reported defects.

What You Will Need

Must-Haves

• Core Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), with 2–4+ years of dedicated experience in QA automation or software test engineering.

• Test Automation Tooling: Hands-on proficiency building automated tests with modern web frameworks (Playwright strongly preferred; Cypress or Selenium acceptable) and API validation tools.

• Data & Cloud Fundamentals: Solid SQL skills to verify database transactions and data pipelines, plus experience testing services in cloud environments (AWS preferred).

• CI/CD & Agile Workflows: Working knowledge of integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines within standard Agile/Scrum development sprints.

Nice-to-Haves

• AI/ML Curiosity & Validation: Hands-on exposure to validating AI/ML-generated outputs, prompt-based workflows, or using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Copilot) in real testing workflows.

• Specialized Testing Tools: Exposure to performance or load testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter) and security scanning utilities (e.g., OWASP ZAP).

• Regulated Healthcare Environments: Background working with healthcare technologies, HIPAA-compliant systems, or protected health data.

Logistics

• Salary Range: $130,000 – $150,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

• Work Location: 100% Remote (United States)
