Database Administrator (SQL Server Focus with OpenEdge & Linux Expansion) — Houston, TX

This role focuses on managing and optimizing SQL Server databases across both on-premises and Azure environments. The Senior Database Administrator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and performance while also taking on additional responsibilities in Progress OpenEdge DBA tasks, Linux system administration, and Data Warehouse development. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize SQL Server databases in both on-premises and Azure environments to ensure high availability and performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business needs.

• Develop and maintain SSIS packages for data integration and transformation processes.

• Design ETL processes that ensure data quality and integrity while meeting performance requirements.

• Take on secondary responsibilities in Progress OpenEdge DBA tasks and Linux system administration as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator managing both on-premises and Azure database architectures.

• Strong T-SQL skills with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries.

• Experience in SSIS package development and ETL design.

• Familiarity with relational database modeling and data warehouse structures, including Kimball methodology.
