We are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer (AI-Enabled) to join our newly established Data Office as one of its founding hires. You’ll help build and own the governed analytics layer that supports reporting, self-service analytics, AI, and better decision-making across the firm. The annual base salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this role is $130,000 to $165,000. Placement within the range will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit for the position, as well as internal equity considerations and market conditions.

What You’ll Do

This is a hands-on senior role with the opportunity to help establish our analytics environment and standards from the beginning. You will:

• Design and build the analytics layer in Snowflake using dbt, transforming raw data into trusted, well-documented, reusable models.

• Establish a single source of truth for key business measures by defining and maintaining semantic layers and governed metrics.

• Partner with teams across operations, investments, distribution, and client service to translate business needs into data models, certified datasets, and reporting solutions.

• Build and support governed Power BI datasets and dashboards that enable reliable self-service analytics.

• Identify and deliver AI-enabled analytics use cases, including natural language querying and LLM-powered workflows using governed data.

• Establish strong practices around data quality, documentation, lineage, testing, code review, and CI/CD.

• Partner with the Senior Data Engineer on architecture, data ingestion, performance, and cost-efficient use of the platform.

• Help drive adoption through documentation, training, and enablement while measuring the usage and business value of the solutions delivered

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a hands-on senior technical builder who combines strong technical depth with business fluency. Preference given to local candidates but will consider non-local or remote. Candidates require a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of six years of experience in analytics engineering, BI development, or data engineering, including at least three years building production data models on a cloud data platform.

The role calls for production experience with dbt and Snowflake, a track record of delivering governed metrics and reporting to business stakeholders, and hands-on experience delivering AI-enabled analytics or generative AI use cases using enterprise data. Experience within financial services, asset management, or another regulated environment is strongly preferred.

Experience with Snowflake Cortex, Python/Snowpark, Airflow, Dagster, Fivetran, Atlan, Alation, or Monte Carlo is also valuable, as is exposure to data governance and data stewardship initiatives.
