Dotnet Developer with NCPDP F6 Implementation — Exton, PA

We are seeking an experienced developer to support the implementation of the NCPDP F6 standard for one of our state Medicaid pharmacy programs. The selected candidate will contribute to the analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of enhancements to meet the NCPDP F6 transaction and data exchange requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for the NCPDP F6 implementation, including analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.

Collaborate with business analysts, system architects, and quality assurance teams to interpret functional and technical requirements.

Develop and maintain code to ensure accurate processing of pharmacy claim transactions compliant with NCPDP F6 standards.

Modify existing application modules to accommodate updated NCPDP field definitions, segment structures, and new business rules.

Work with EDI and Medicaid domain experts to validate F6 transaction mappings, layouts, and integration points with backend systems.

Create and maintain technical documentation, including data mapping, interface specifications, and system design artifacts.

Support testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to NCPDP transaction processing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

3+ years of experience in software development, preferably within Medicaid or healthcare domains.

Strong understanding of NCPDP standards (D.0 and F6).

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or COBOL (depending on project environment).

Experience with EDI processing, pharmacy claims, and Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS).

Familiarity with SQL, XML, and data transformation tools.

Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with Medicaid or pharmacy projects.

Knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, and state Medicaid compliance standards.

Experience with Agile or Waterfall development methodologies.

Exposure to mainframe environments or API-based integration frameworks.
