About The Role

HAN Staffing is seeking a Node.js Developer with approximately one to two or more years of total professional experience and at least one year of relevant experience developing Node.js APIs. This is a full-stack opportunity with an approximate focus of 70% Node.js and 30% React.js. The role is suited to an early-career developer who has a solid foundation in JavaScript, an interest in building scalable server-side applications, and the ability to contribute to user-facing features when needed. You will work with RESTful services and data platforms, collaborate with other developers and stakeholders, and support the delivery and ongoing improvement of application functionality. The listed location is Iselin, New Jersey, while project information also identifies Irving, Texas, and Tampa, Florida; the applicable work location should be confirmed during the hiring process.

Qualifications

Candidates should have one to two or more years of professional software development experience and at least one year of hands-on experience building APIs with Node.js. Practical knowledge of JavaScript and server-side development is required, along with an understanding of how to design, implement, and maintain RESTful services. Experience with React.js is important for contributing to front-end development and supporting the role’s full-stack responsibilities. Familiarity with MongoDB and PostgreSQL is expected or strongly preferred. Exposure to Druid and Cassandra is also relevant, particularly for working with varied data-storage and query needs. Applicants should be comfortable learning within an established codebase, communicating clearly with teammates, and investigating technical issues methodically. A degree or equivalent training may be considered alongside relevant practical experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Node.js APIs and server-side components that are robust, scalable, and aligned with project requirements. Build and support RESTful services, including implementing business logic, managing request and response handling, and considering reliability and performance. Contribute to React.js features and collaborate across the front-end and back-end portions of the application. Work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL, and support projects involving Druid or Cassandra where required. Participate in reviewing requirements, estimating development tasks, troubleshooting defects, and refining existing functionality. Write readable, maintainable code and follow the project’s established development practices. Collaborate with engineers, product partners, and other stakeholders to coordinate work, share progress, and resolve dependencies. Assist with testing and validation of changes, investigate production or development issues, and contribute to documentation that helps the team maintain and extend its services.
