KFgbY7 seeks a resourceful, highly motivated engineer experienced in microcontroller system software to become part of the Tegra System Software group. Our team pushes technology beyond conventional limits, and this position allows you to bring your creativity to demanding system software issues. You will engage closely with professionals from system software, hardware, and partner organizations to contribute to outstanding product development.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Guide the creation of RTOS firmware operating on embedded microcontrollers within z4FK85 T3z8 and GPUs.

• Partner with hardware, software, and cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and schedules, and translate them into a development roadmap and detailed team plans.

• Contribute across the system software lifecycle, including chip POR, pre-silicon development, silicon bring-up, and production.

• Implement low-level driver development and ensure flawless debugging of system software.

• Join forces with ASIC designers to contribute to the development of next-generation microcontrollers built into z4FK85 T3z8 and GPUs.

What We Need To See

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years of relevant system software development experience.

• Strong understanding of computer architecture, processor ISAs, and microcontroller fundamentals, including caches, buses, memory controllers, and DMA.

• Verified background in C and assembly programming, skilled in developing intricate, secure, and efficient microcontroller firmware.

• Demonstrated technical leadership and ownership of projects.

• Strong interpersonal abilities and the capability to work well with both on-site and remote groups.

• Self-starter who communicates effectively across geographies in a dynamic, matrixed organization.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

• Hands-on experience productizing firmware with an embedded RTOS, such as SafeRTOS, on ARM or RISC-V microcontrollers.

• Practical knowledge of linkers and linker scripts.

• Previous technical leadership experience.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and other objective job-related factors. The expected base salary ranges for this position are:

184,000 USD – 287,500 USD for Level 4; and 224,000 USD – 356,500 USD for Level 5.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
